What is particularly impressive about the Z9 is the simultaneous subject recognition, both for pictures and videos. It recognizes not only the human face, eyes or head and torso, but also the eyes of animals, no matter how small the subject is. This stunning autofocus also works reliably upside down, and it even works right up to vehicles such as cars, motorcycles or trains and even airplanes. Nikon uses the term Deep Learning AI because the algorithms that perform serial AF on people, faces, eyes and other objects rely on artificial intelligence. If the photographer mainly takes portrait shots, the full-frame camera will remember this, focus much more quickly and protect faces from possible overexposure in a matter of seconds. The camera is ready for use and focused in no time at all, adapted to the way the photographer works.

This is also made possible by the heart of the Z9, which includes a 45,7 megapixel BSI stacked CMOS sensor developed by Nikon, which is coupled with the new EXPEED 7. With the current firmware, 8K videos with 24 frames per second are already possible. The hybrid AF system offers a total of 493 AF points, 405 of which belong to the car segment. The sensitivity ranges from -6,5 to +19 EV, which allows an incredibly diverse range of applications at any time of the day or night. You can see through the electronic OLED viewfinder in real time and without blackouts, thanks to the 3690.000 pixels (Quad VGA) with color balance and automatic and manual brightness control with a total of 16 levels. The serial AF calculation of the NIKON Z9 works at an unprecedented speed, especially in connection with the simultaneous subject recognition. Don't leave perfect shots to chance, leave it to the precision of the NIKON Z9. The advanced 3D tracking system recognizes exactly what you currently want to record and reacts immediately to changes in subject speed, subject orientation and the position of the subjects being recorded.
Whether you're shooting a car race or fast-moving animals or other objects, the Z 120 is in a class of its own at 9 fps with full AF/AE. Even series of exposures of up to 1000 images in a row are possible in full resolution and with 20 releases per second (recommended Memory card PROGRAD COBALT). You have over 100 different high-speed NIKON lenses available for various applications, all of which are capable of recording up to 120 frames per second. This also applies to films in 4K and Full HD, which also makes the camera interesting for professional users with the support of Apple ProRes 422 HQ. With the new update for the Nikon Z9, 4Kp120 fps & 8K 60fps are now available internally in the camera, so no additional monitors, HDMI cables and SSD hard drives are necessary. This simplifies the application in a very powerful way.

With exposure times of 1/32000 and a setting of ISO 64 on the NIKON Z9, you can achieve an incredibly detailed depth of field even in very bright lighting conditions. The NIKKOR Z lenses are particularly suitable for use here.
Tireless Buffer:
As already mentioned, the Z9 has the possibility of up to 120 frames per second, an incredible recording speed. This enables uninterrupted shooting as the photographer benefits from a large, high-speed buffer. The Z9 also includes two slots for fast Type B CFexpress cards. In spring 2022, NIKON released its own N-RAW format and is also introducing a second RAW format in which the memory requirement is reduced to a third. In order to be able to use the full performance of the camera, we recommend the CFexpress cards (recommended Memory card PROGRADE COBALT).
