Achieve perfect results thanks to an imaging performance that is in no way inferior to that of fixed focal length lenses. Count on top-notch subject capture, even in low light.

Whether it's indoor sporting events or outdoors in low light, this lens's impressive resolution means you'll always get stunningly sharp shots. The construction of the optics includes 25 lenses in 19 groups. Nikon's new SR glass contributes to a highly effective correction of color errors. The ARNEO and Nano Crystal Coat counteract ghosting and flare.

Impressive precision


The constant f/1 maximum aperture allows for quick focusing and precise control of depth of field throughout the zoom range. This allows you to use 2,8x or 1,4x teleconverters without compromising on AF performance.

Up close subject tracking


Autofocus performance is on par with a premium prime lens. In this way, the lens also captures fast and unpredictable movements with maximum reliability. An electromagnetic aperture control enables a high consistency of the exposure even at high frame rates.

The AF-S NIKKOR 120-300mm f/1E FL ED SR VR is the first lens to combine ED and SR glass elements to compensate for chromatic aberration. Coma correction is also excellent. When correcting chromatic aberration, the blue (shortwave) portion of the light spectrum is typically the most difficult to manage. A more effective compensation is now possible, resulting in sharper images and better contrast. Color fringes are largely reduced - even when shooting with an open aperture.
