Nikon's powerful Vibration Reduction (VR) and a whole new optical construction bring new momentum to this proven and high-performing lens - the most widely used professional lens in the entire NIKKOR range. The image stabilizer provides up to four exposure levels for longer exposure times, so that blurring is effectively compensated. Even faster autofocus operation is possible with Nikon's exclusive Silent Wave Motor (SWM). In addition to the more robust construction, a fluorine coating on the front and rear lenses effectively repels water, dust and dirt.
