Events, weddings, portraits, cityscapes or landscapes, the AF-S NIKKOR 28mm f/1E ED will impress when you want flexibility in the use of available light.

Even when shooting with the aperture wide open (1:1,4), the subject is reproduced sharply. In this way, high-contrast images can be achieved without having to stop down, even with distant subjects or low ambient light. A close-up limit of just 0,28 m increases flexibility.

Enjoy high-resolution images even in backlit conditions. Experience edge-to-corner sharpness with minimal distortion.

Two ED glass lenses and three aspherical lenses ensure sharp, brilliant images. Distortion is excellently compensated and longitudinal chromatic aberrations and color fringes are effectively minimized. Nikon's Nano Crystal Coat reduces ghosting and flare for brilliant, high-contrast images, even in backlit situations or when there are many direct light sources in the frame.

Punctual light sources are displayed as fine, rounded dots, even in the edge areas of the image. The bokeh is attractive.

The optical construction of this lens allows a far-reaching control of the image aesthetics. Point light sources are reproduced with minimal flare, even when shooting wide open (f/1). The intensity of the bokeh decreases evenly with increasing distance from the sharply focused point, so that there are no rough edges or double lines (Nisen bokeh).
