A super telephoto lens ideal for wildlife and press photography, as well as distant subjects in athletics, winter sports and water sports. This premium lens comes with a custom-tuned 1,25x teleconverter that extends the focal length to 1.000mm at an effective maximum aperture of f/1 while maintaining superior imaging performance.

Due to the tube made of a robust magnesium alloy and two fluorite lenses, the lens is comparatively light despite its size. In addition, the center of gravity is further back, which enables comfortable and well-balanced handling. The fluorite lenses ensure higher light transmission and less chromatic aberration than normal or ED glass lenses.

The aperture blades are rounded for natural bokeh. The iris is controlled with a high-precision electromagnetic drive, which enables higher precision and uniformity of exposure, especially in continuous shooting. The image stabilizer reduces blur caused by camera shake and allows the use of up to four EV stops longer exposure times.
