The Nikon Z 35mm f 1.8 S is a full-frame lens for masterful shots. Its outstanding imaging performance even eclipses that of previous prime lenses with a maximum aperture of 1,4.¹ In any light, in any situation.

The extra large diameter of the Nikon Z mount allows NIKKOR Z lenses to capture more light at every angle of the frame. This, in combination with the small back focus (the distance between the bayonet connection and the image sensor), ensures that the light drop from the center of the image to the edges is only minimal. The result is an unbelievable level of detail – right into the corners of the picture.

Point light sources in the subject, such as streetlights at night, are reproduced with superior precision because the sagittal coma has been almost completely corrected. Point light sources are displayed as naturally round dots, even at the edges of the image.

Two ED glass lenses and three aspherical lenses contribute to crisp, brilliant images with rich colors and clear contrast. Vignetting (the fall of light from the center of the image to the edges) is almost completely eliminated - for an even brightness right into the corners of the image.

Even in backlit situations, the Nikon Nano Crystal Coat ensures brilliant, clear images, thanks to a highly effective reduction of flare, ghosting and flare. Even when taking pictures with several light sources in the image field, this means a significantly higher image quality.

The light intensity of 1:1,8 and the aperture with nine rounded blades support the fine, particularly natural-looking bokeh. Highlights are rendered as natural blur circles. Even slightly dimmed, you can achieve beautiful results.
