Beautiful bokeh

The large diameter of the Z mount, the constant maximum aperture of f/1 and the aperture with nine rounded blades ensure fascinating performance in all lighting conditions. With this telephoto zoom lens you can achieve a particularly natural bokeh right up to the edge of the picture section.

Unrivaled sharpness

Sharpness is outstanding throughout the frame, even when shooting wide open or from close range. The close-up limit is only 0,5 m at the shortest focal length and 1 m at the maximum telephoto position.

Farewell to lens flares!

The ARNEO and Nano Crystal Coat counteract ghosting and flare. Nikon's ED and SR glass counteract color errors. Thanks to SR glass, a particularly effective correction of color errors is achieved for the blue, i.e. short-wave, parts of the spectrum that are otherwise difficult to compensate. You get sharper images and higher contrast.

Made for video

Video recordings can be controlled smoothly and precisely. The lens has a depth-of-field scale that allows you to easily determine the minimum and maximum distances at each aperture. Focus breathing has been almost entirely eliminated. The aperture is controlled with high precision, so that the exposure adjusts naturally within one setting.

Incredibly tough

The lens is completely sealed against the elements - for daily use in the most demanding conditions. The fluorine coating prevents the adhesion of water, dust and dirt - without any impairment of the imaging performance.
