Next generation autofocus. Fast, precise and almost silent.
The Nikon Stepping Motor (STM) provides lightning-fast, precise and virtually silent autofocus, ideal for both photography and video recording. This ensures you're always ready to capture fleeting moments and dynamic scenes with precision.
Vibration Reduction (VR) technology. Stabilizes your recordings with up to 6,0 stops of VR.
The integrated optical VR technology offers up to 6,0 levels of vibration reduction to counteract camera shake and deliver razor-sharp images. This is particularly invaluable for handheld photography at this focal length, allowing clear shots even at low shutter speeds.
Retrieve saved focus positions. Instant focus control at the touch of a button.
The Nikkor Z 600mm f 6.3 VR S gives you precise control over your focus settings to ensure you never miss a crucial moment. Use the Memory Set button to save a specific focus position and access it at any time. When your subject enters the crucial moment, the Fn or Fn2 button allows you to quickly return to that saved focus position. This intuitive feature allows you to focus on your subject without having to worry about manual focus adjustments, consistently delivering sharp and impressive results.
Versatility in videography. Smooth transitions and controlled aperture control.
For videographers, the Nikkor Z 600mm f 6.3 VR S offers near-silent aperture control and quiet operation to ensure interference-free audio recordings. Precise aperture control enables smooth transitions between scenes and continuous adaptation to changing lighting conditions.

TECHNOLOGY
ED glass (Extra-Low Dispersion) ED glass is an optical glass developed by Nikon that is used in combination with regular optical glass in telephoto lenses to achieve optimal correction of chromatic aberrations.
Short wavelength (SR) refractive lens SR is a high and special dispersion glass lens that refracts light with wavelengths shorter than blue. It enables high-precision compensation of chromatic aberrations and enables more flexible optical designs, allowing more compact, lighter lenses to be designed.
Phase Fresnel (PF) Phase Fresnel lens elements effectively compensate for chromatic aberrations and ghosting when combined with ordinary glass lens elements. They enable more compact and lighter lenses and can produce ring-shaped colored flare, which can be minimized with “PF Flare Control”.
I AM AT) A/M stands for Auto-Priority Manual Mode and allows easy transition from autofocus to manual focus during AF operation, with the sensitivity of the mode switch adjusted to prevent accidental switching.
nanocrystal coating This anti-reflective coating virtually eliminates internal reflections of the lens element over a wide range of wavelengths and eliminates ghosting and flare caused by light entering the lens diagonally.
fluorine coating The fluorine coating effectively repels dust, water droplets, grease or dirt, allowing for easy removal even if they adhere to the lens surface. It can withstand high wiping frequencies and helps capture clear images.
Vibration reduction (VR) A Nikon in-lens technology that improves image stability by automatically compensating for camera shake.
Electromagnetic membrane mechanism A mechanism in the lens barrel that provides high-precision electronic aperture or aperture blade control when using automatic exposure in continuous shooting.
stepper motor NIKKOR Z lenses use a stepper motor for fast, precise, smooth and quiet autofocus with reduced shake, ideal for video recording.
IF lens A NIKKOR lens in which only the internal lens group shifts when focusing, allowing for compact, lightweight lenses that enable shorter focusing distances.
This lens guarantee is an additional quality promise from Nikon. After registering, you benefit from a four-year warranty on your new lens in addition to the one-year Nikon European Service Warranty.
