The MB-N10 battery pack extends battery life by a factor of 1,8 (approximately) and provides a more comfortable balance when using long telephoto lenses. The battery pack holds up to two Nikon EN-EL15c rechargeable lithium-ion batteries (sold separately). The battery pack, which is protected against the ingress of dust and moisture, has an LED charge indicator for each of the two battery compartments. Batteries can be replaced during operation. This is particularly useful for longer video or interval recordings. The batteries can be charged directly in the battery pack using the AC adapter EH-7P (sold separately). If the battery pack is attached to the camera, the camera must be switched off so that the batteries can be charged via the battery pack's integrated USB port.
